At Hairstudio Adonize in Amsterdam, hair coloring is about more than just color. Whether you choose root coloring, full gray coverage, a natural shade, or a complete color change: every treatment is tailored to your hair, wishes, and lifestyle. We work with high-quality color products such as,

Additionally, various color lines feature innovative technologies that help reduce the risk of hair damage, while some lines are also PPD- and/or PTD-free . This allows us to choose from full gray coverage, natural color results, temporary coloring, or ammonia-free shine treatments, always suited to your hair and the desired end result.

♻️ Our sustainable packaging is made from recycled material and is fully recyclable. An eco-conscious choice for less waste and more sustainability.

TIP: PLEX TREATMENT: Book an extra Plex treatment with your hair coloring.

What is a Plex treatment?

A PLEX repair treatment is a professional treatment that repairs and strengthens hair from the inside out, especially during or after chemical treatments such as coloring or lightening. It helps repair broken hair bonds and prevents further damage, making the hair healthier, stronger, and shinier .

ALLERGY : Although the risk of developing allergies has been reduced, a significant risk of allergic reactions remains. Advice : Ask your stylist to perform an allergy test 48 hours prior to your color appointment.

Advice from your hairstylist

Your hair color is an investment in yourself. With the right professional home care and regular maintenance at the salon, your hair stays healthy and shiny longer, and your color remains optimally preserved.

Protect your hair while swimming

Are you going swimming in the sea or a swimming pool? Then first wet your hair thoroughly with tap water. A saturated hair fiber absorbs less salt and chlorinated water. Always rinse your hair well after swimming and then care for it with professional hair products.

Don't wash your hair more often than necessary.

The more often you wash your hair, the faster color pigments fade. Ideally, wash your hair 1 to 3 times a week and finish with a conditioner. This way, your hair color stays beautiful longer and your hair remains healthy and shiny.

Use only professional hair care products.

Beautiful hair color starts in the salon, but only stays beautiful with the right home care. Therefore, always use a professional shampoo, conditioner, and hair mask. Products from the drugstore or supermarket often contain strong cleansing ingredients that can cause your hair color to fade faster and dry out your hair.

Give your hair intensive care regularly

Use a professional hair mask one to two times a week to nourish your hair optimally. Additionally, schedule a K18 or Plex treatment during your next salon visit. These professional repair treatments strengthen the hair from within and help reduce breakage.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) about hair coloring
A root touch-up is a coloring treatment where only the natural hair roots are colored. This treatment is ideal when you want to maintain your hair color or cover up gray roots without recoloring the entire length of your hair.
Yes. A root touch-up is highly suitable for covering gray hair. Depending on the chosen coloring technique, up to 100% natural gray coverage can be achieved.
On average, most clients opt for a root touch-up every 4 to 8 weeks. This depends on the rate at which your hair grows and the contrast between your natural hair color and the colored lengths.
With a solid color, the entire hair is colored in a single shade. This is ideal when you want a new hair color, want to refresh the existing color, or desire an even color result from roots to ends.
Yes. When the right color formula is chosen, an even hair color can provide full or nearly full gray coverage. During your color consultation, we determine which color best suits your wishes and hair type.
With a root touch-up, only the roots are colored. With a full hair coloring, the roots, lengths, and ends are colored or refreshed for an even color result.
Touch-Up Xpress Color is a quick color treatment used to touch up a small portion of the roots. The color is applied exclusively to the contours around the face and the parting on top, not to the entire root area.
This treatment is suitable when:

only the contours and parting need to be touched up;

80% to 100% gray coverage is desired;

the hair color remains tone-on-tone;

the natural hair color is lightened by a maximum of two shades;

you want a fresh look quickly between two full color treatments.
Yes. This treatment is only suitable for a limited area of regrowth and has a limited color selection. For full regrowth or a more significant color change, we recommend a regular root touch-up or a full hair coloring.
The Root Touch-Up Plus treatment consists of a full root touch-up, combined with a toner applied to the lengths and ends. This toner gives the hair extra shine, deepens the color, and ensures a beautiful, even color result from root to tip.
A toner is a mild shine and color treatment that refines hair color, neutralizes unwanted tones, and adds extra shine. A toner does not lighten the hair, but it does ensure a fresh, rich, and well-groomed appearance.
No. With a root touch-up, normally only the roots are colored. If the lengths have become dull or could use extra shine, a toner or gloss treatment can be added.
Yes. These treatments are intended for a single, even hair color and do not include highlights, balayage, or other coloring techniques.
During your appointment, we assess your natural hair color, any gray hairs, the condition of your hair, and your wishes. Based on this, we advise whether a Touch-Up Xpress Color, a root touch-up, a Root Touch-up Plus treatment, or a full hair color is the best choice.
